Location

Nestled underneath Moel Siabod and peeking over the River Llugwy, we are quietly tucked away in the ancient mountain village of Capel Curig.

Within easy reach of our hostel just minutes down the road, stands the stunning Snowdon - the highest mountain in Wales and England. Together with unspoilt and awe-inspiring views of the Snowdon horseshoe from the hostel itself, The Rocks at Plas Curig's views of this mountain range are unrivalled.

Capel Curig is also conveniently located on the A5, which makes our hostel a superb place to base yourselves within the National Park. Surrounded by 823 square miles of stunning mountainous landscape we are also 45 minutes drive away from the beautiful coastlines of the Llŷn Peninsula and Anglesey.

Five miles from the hostel is the beautifully quaint Victorian village of Betws-y-Coed. Artists, travellers, mountaineers and walkers alike have all been flocking here for centuries. You’ll find an abundance of cafés, inns, hotels, restaurants, gift shops, museums, historical bridges and a 14th-century church all centred around a village green and railway station, with stunning mountain views.

The local bus service, The 'Sherpa' picks up and drops off outside the hostel, which takes you into the town of Betws-y-Coed, the Pen-y-Pass car park to walk the Miners and Pyg track up Snowdon and to an array of other mountains and attractions in Eryri.
